Although they live in Southern California, Krista and Tim traveled to Yosemite for their wedding without having a lot of experience in Yosemite. As constant travelers themselves (I found myself a bit jealous of all the exotic locations they have visited) exploring the expansive beauty of a place  like Yosemite was the the perfect fit for them.

Knowing that having epic wedding photographs was a priority of theirs, Krista and Tim started their day together before sunrise to make the most of the early morning light in Yosemite. Much of our travel and locations were preplanned, leaving the Together we had the entire morning to explore Yosemite before their afternoon ceremony. They spent their wedding day watching as the first rays of light revealed El Capitan and the rim of the valley from Tunnel View, explored the area drops and views from Glacier Point, and event hiked the the rim of the valley at Taft Point together.

Krista’s joy at finally standing in all of these places we talked about (and on her wedding day) was delightful, and Tim was there every step of the way to delight in it. He took care to ensure his queen needed nothing but his tender embrace. Eventually we found our way back to the Majestic Hotel. After the morningful of hikes. It was perfectly relaxing to have a little downtime and lunch before the day picked back up.

A bit later that day, Krista and Tim joined their close family members. We walked to a little secret spot where Krista and Tim laid down a rug. It was there, gathered with a a few close family members nestled in the pines that they were married. It was an intimate heartfelt ceremony officiated my Tim’s sister, giving her words the knowledge of which heart strings were the most direct to tug on. The ceremony was more an expression of love than a door that one simply walks through to begin a new journey.

Perhaps it should be surprising then, that at the end of the day Krista and Tim felt more invigorated by all that had transpired than worn out. They both shared the same look of love and excitement for their future. It truly was a day of celebration for them.
