If you’re an early riser you know just how beautiful the world can be in those quiet pre-dawn moments. In Yosemite, it’s like the calm before the storm. The tour busses are still miles away, most visitors are tucked away in warm beds, leaving even the most popular vistas just for you. Twilight plays off towering rocks and sights that aren’t possible to see later are right in front of you. It takes a brave couple to venture out in the early morning starlight, but with moments like don’t you want to see what you’re missing?

The three of us were the only people at Tunnel View that morning, but really Karen and Larry owned the place. The colors of the sky were magnificent in that pre-dawn light. But for the first sight of the sun itself we headed out to Glacier Point. There they were greeted by the days first warmth and light washed over the landscape.
After spending sometime watching the rays of light spill across the valley, we hiked out to Taft Point were Karen and Larry were married. Taft Point is quite simply a humbling place. No matter how many times you seen a photograph from here, or even stood and this very ledge, it still inspires awe. Before you stands immense beauty, adventure, and the wild unknown. How fitting of a place for Karen and Larry to take that next step in their relationship?
